Cynthia Merrill has been teaching programs in dance and etiquette in our private and public system since 1970: Creative Dance, Ballroom Dance, Latin and Contemporary Dance, Etiquette Workshops, Children's Manners and Interview Preparation Classes. She has developed after school programs and during school programs in Dance, Drama, and Etiquette. She has been hired with funding from the Gifted and Talented, No Child Left Behind, Parent /Teacher Associations, Title 1 and Title 3 Grants, the DARE program and many other sources of funding.
Cynthia Merrill is a credentialed Elementary and Junior College teacher. She has taught 6th grade in Austin, Texas, was a Migratory Resource Teacher for the Clovis Unified School District and a teacher of Modern Dance and Ballroom Dance, Social Dance and Etiquette at Fresno City College. She has taught for Fresno Unified, Clovis Unified, Sanger Unified, Central Unified, Pacific College and many other schools in the San Joaquin Valley. She was the founder and artistic director of the Cynthia Merrill School of Performing Arts from 1970- 2005. (Link to career biography)
Cynthia Merrill, under the umbrella of her new organization, Cynthia Merrill Projects, is available to teach your school a Ballroom Dance and Social Dance Program with Manners which can also include Etiquette and Table Manner Classes.She will come into your school and teach interview skills for employment, scholarship selection and university admissions.She is also available to teach Creative Dance which includes academic and developmental skills through dance and music. These classes can be scheduled during school hours from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM or in an after school programs from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
